Oral Tradition in China
Oral tradition has a centuries-old history in China before the invention of writing. People pass their culture by narrating, because they can't record their events by writing. In fact, it recorded a great many of legends which became important sources to write history workers for historians and other scholars.
There are some historians who are all appreciate the "oral history" method. For example Shi Maqian(the Grand Historian of Western Han Dynasty), whose use of oral testimony in his great worker--Shi-Ji.
Other notable examples were Tan Qian of the late Ming Dynasty, Zhang Xuecheng of the Qing Dynasty and Liang Qichao who is a famous historian of early Republican China.
This is my brief introduction of oral tradition in China. Because I am writing an article on it. So I will upload my article to this site when I finish this article. You will read it very soon.
